This year we, Dr. Hesse Tierpharma GmbH & Co KG, are celebrating a significant milestone in our history – our 65th anniversary.
On this page, we would like to take you on a journey into the past and tell you about the various events that have made us the company we are today.
In 2023, we took a strategically important step and entered into a partnership with Albert Kerbl GmbH, a leading player in the pet supplies trade.
This alliance marks another milestone in the history of Ida Plus: together with Albert Kerbl, we have the opportunity to offer our products in stationary pet shops throughout Germany.
Due to the success of our e-commerce and export business, we began building new office space in 2018, which our team moved into in 2019.
2015 was the starting signal for us in e-commerce.
Just two years later, we founded Ida Plus - initially as a purely online brand for pets and companion animals.
In 1980, we took over Röhnfried - a brand to support the performance and health of racing pigeons, pedigree pigeons and pedigree poultry.
This strategic decision opened up new, international markets and laid the foundation for today's successful export business, supported by our personal passion for pigeon breeding.
Our company was not always located at Kieler Straße 36a in Hohenlockstedt: the first company building was in Memeler Straße - also in Hohenlockstedt.
As Dr. Hesse Tierpharma became more and more successful and continued to grow, new premises had to be found for production and administration.
The move to Kieler Straße marked the milestone for the Dr. Hesse company as we know it today.
Our foundation is based on a firm belief in improving animal health and welfare.
Today, this conviction remains the core of our mission.
